from Clive Adams

I am pleased to tell you more about the forthcoming Festival for the Earth which we mentioned in our earlier Bulletin. This is an ambitious event being organised in Venice by one of our associate curators, Maria Rebecca Ballestra. Sessions are being organised at some amazing venues in Venice and in Padua. The sessions are entirely free but you must register at www.festivalfortheearth.com.

My colleague Richard Povall of art.earth and I will be there and Richard will introduce the Science Walden session on the afternoon of the first day. This is a project on which we have been working with our South Korean colleagues for the past year. You can see lots more information on this and other projects by going to our web site and following the links in the latest Bulletin.

Immediately after the Festival on the morning of Wednesday 5 December we are organising a much smaller gathering at Ca’Foscari University of Venice to discuss future plans, especially ones to involve the Global Network of Water Museums with whom we are also working. See www.watermuseums.net  Please let me know if you are interested in attending as space is limited.

If you are in Italy, do see the exhibition ‘Post-Water’ in Turin curated by Andrea Lerda www.platformgreen.org. Otherwise, don’t miss Amy Sharrocks forthcoming major exhibition which opens in Leamington Spa at the end of the month.

Best, Clive    ps do pass this on to your own networks
